Barbara Washington -
Executive Director
Ms Washington is a Licensed Master of Social
Work. She has had extensive experience with
The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical
Center and the Monsignor Robert Fox Memorial
Shelter, both in New York City. She also has
had experience at the Jenkins Institute for
Children and at Specialized Alternatives for
Families and Youth, both in Charleston, SC.
She became the Executive Director in 2002.

has been intimately involved with the
Palmetto House for the past 15 years.
